Group Executives Adel Al Suhaimi, Eng. SA Nizam, Hani Al Muhanna, and Mohammed Al Faihani Visited India to inspect GS branch there and ETRP Project site to check the Project Progress. They also visited the Safety Training Institute for inspection of the training levels they are providing and the fields covered. A meeting with the Institute CEO, Mr. Rizwan was conducted, (42) trainees were nominated for interviews and (19) were shortlisted for recruitment in Saudi Arabia.

VIETNAM (HANOI)

The group left Tiruchi heading to the capital of Vietnam Hanoi, the purpose of the visit was to inspect the Vietnamese market and to look for possible opportunities of investment. That was through visiting the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and meeting the Manager of International Relations Department Mrs. Chi to discuss means of cooperation with construction companies and provide us with the most important contractors, in addition to Manpower Recruitment Agencies.

They also visited the Saudi Embassy to meet the Ambassador, Mr. Salah Ahmed Sarhan and the Council Mr. Ibrahim Al Sharary for acquaintance and support to recruit Vietnamese work force for GSC Saudi & Gulf projects.Adel Al Suhaimi and Eng. Nizam met a number of Civil Contractors and visited their Activity Locations for inspection. While Hani Al Muhanna and Mohammed Al Faihani conducted meetings with (40) different Manpower Recruitment Agencies to finally approve of a couple of agencies to provide them with a number of (195) Candidates for interview, where they only nominated (75) Candidate for final recruitment.

AUSTRALIA (PERTH - GERALDTON)

Adel Al Suhaimi, and Eng. SA Nizam continued the trip by visiting Perth in Australia. Where they visited Garnet International Recourses and had a meeting with Mr. Rod Liebeck, GM of GIRL and Mr. Torsten Wolfhart.

They also paid a visit to NES Australian to discuss the option of sourcing Australian skilled Technicians. President and VPTA along with Mr. Torsten & Mr. Rod visited Geraldton located 420 kilometers north of Perth to inspect GAC mining facilities and Gregory Harbor, 100 KM away from Geraldton.

COMPLETION OF A PROJECT

Global Suhaimi Company has completed intumescent epoxy fireproofing of spire structures of Makkah Clock Tower Project in a short period of four months. Completing the total quantity of 3,406 m2 in a very short period of time at the given height between 507 meter to 601 meter from ground level was a big challenge. While deployment of all equipment and materials was a tedious task using several tower cranes assigned at different elevations, our employees had to use six different temporary lifts in addition to climbing almost 40 stories every time to reach the work location amid a crowd of thousands of people employed by customer and other trade sub-contractors.
Hence, it was a big achievement for the company to accomplish the project without any accident and to the full satisfaction of customer and consultants. -
A CEREMONY FOR HONORING SAMERF PARTNERS

The Representative of Government Relations Abdulrahman Al Alwani, Ahmed Al Ninni, and Yousef Al Ateya attended a ceremony hosted by Saudi Aramco Mobil Refinery Company Ltd. (SAMREF) in Yanbu for honoring their partner’s success. The ceremony included a brief introduction about SAMERF’s history and achievements. Ministry of Labour and other companies participated in this ceremony where they were honored for their success by SAMERF. Global Suhaimi Company was one of the participants, as Abdulrahman Al Alwani represented GSC and received a trophy and a certificate for its extraordinary achievement in implementing their projects.

MEETING AT GSC HEAD OFFICE

Global Suhaimi hosted a number of guests from sister companies; i.e., SAPIN, Fugro-Suhaimi, and HEMPEL. President of GSC presented a slideshow about Gender as a Saudization Solution and the obstacles GSC faced at the beginnings of female employment. A group of ladies from different departments at the company participated in sharing their experience and explain their departments’ responsibilities and duties.

BUSINESS TRIP TO OMAN

Adel Al Suhaimi, Baljit Chahal, Hani Al Muhanna and Mohammed Al Faihani visited the Sultanate of Oman. Adel Al Suhaimi and Baljit Chahal continued their trip by visiting Oman Dry-dock in Duqm City located in the central region of Oman (650 KM from Masqat) passing by the city of Qarn Alam (300 KM from Duqm). They visited the police station at Al Ajayez area near Duqm (45 KM from Duqm) to inspect the construction of the local airport close to GSC Oman working sites and the expected date of its opening.

KFUPM PROGRAM ASSESSMENT

Prof. Henry Rosovsky from Harvard University, Prof. Hugo F. Sonnenschein from the University of Chicago, and Dr. Abdullah Al Shammari from KFUPM visited Global Suhaimi Head Quarter. The visit was part of their assessment of KFUPM graduates caliber and how they use their knowledge and training at KFUPM in their careers at present.

AMERICAN DELEGATION MEETING

Captain Joel Onkst and Ms. Abeer Albgumi of Global Suhaimi met an American delegation that visited the chamber of commerce in Dammam. The participating companies are specialized in Manufacturing, Aviation, Health and Agricultural. The target of this meeting was to find out ways for mutual collaboration between American Aviation companies and Global Suhaimi Aviation Department.

Global Suhaimi were invited to visit Maaden Phosphate Mines near Arar. Adel Al Suhaimi, Yousef Al Bloushi, Baljit Chahal, and Johnny Thomas inspected the plant. An Offer to improve the efficiency of the plant operations is currently under preparation for submittal to Maaden Phosphate Corporation.

The meeting was held in Global Suhaimi Headquarters in the presence of the Financial Auditor of Suhaimi Group Holding Khaled yousef, and Global Suhaimi VP of Technical Affairs Eng. S.A. Nizam.

Arabian Society for Human Resource Management (Ashrm) December 2011 dinner meeting had Adel Al Suhaimi as the Keynote speaker. He presented GSC experience with nationalizing the work force and using gender as a Saudization solution. A number of GSC staff attended the dinner meeting, among them were Yousef al Bloushi, Hani al Muhanna and Nouf al Sadlan.

“GMA” Director Executive of Australia Visited Global Suhaimi, where they attended the Board of Directors’ Meeting on Tuesday at “Garnet Arabia” offices and Plants in Jubail. The visit included an inspection of the new expansions in the facility to increase production due to high demand.
