Technology Collaboration Agreement with Saudi Aramco

Global Suhaimi signed non-disclosure agreement with Saudi Aramco to explore the possibilities for engaging in mutually advantageous future joint research. A collaboration agreement will be signed between GSC and Saudi Aramco to undertake development of joint research on the following topics:

• Abrasive Mining, Development & Researcher.

• Chemical Inhibitors.

• Fiberglass Linings & Non-Metallic.

• Explore offshore technologies.

• Corrosion control.

Petrochemical Manufacturing Facility

Global Suhaimi is in negotiation with Nukote International in Europe and USA to develop a project that would meet the growing demand for petrochemical products, utilizing feedstock from the country’s natural resources and produce a range of premium products, with a particular focus on the industrial market.

Board of Directors Inspection Visits

25^th October, 3^rd & 11^th November, 2009  

The Chairman & Members of the Board of Directors of Alsuhaimi Group embarked on a comprehensive tour of Global Suhaimi Branches & project sites in the Kingdom & UAE. The inspection visit covered Yanbu, Rabigh (Masturah), Jeddah, Fujairah (UAE), then Jubail. The Executives were split in two groups; the first was led by Mr. Khalid AR Alsuhaimi and Khalid Muhammad Alsuhaimi, and the second was led by Mr. Sulaiman Alsuhaimi and Esam Alsuhaimi. Both groups were accompanied by Adel Alsuhaimi, President of Global Suhaimi and Eng. Yousef Albloushi, Deputy GM, and Mr. Hani Almuhanna, Manager of HR separately.

GITEX Technology Week 2009

18^th – 22^nd October, 2009

A delegation from Global Suhaimi attended GITEX technology week at the Dubai International Exhibition and Convention Centre.

Ms. Abeer Albgumi & Ms. Moneerah Aljafari from systems department and Ms. Manal Alqahtani from HR department visited many of the exhibitors and discussed the solutions and services provided by them. The main focus was to identify new technologies and ERP solutions that can enhance the efficiency of the company management systems.

THE VISIT OF GSC TO PMU

18^th October, 2009

A team from Global Suhaimi headed by Adel Alsuhaimi visited Prince Mohammad Bin Fahad University (PMU) to discuss specific educational programs that PMU is in position to offer the company in the area of professional development. PMU team was led by Dr. Nassar Shaikh, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Dr. Hesham Magd, Dean of the Collage of Business Administration.

THE VISIT OF USA CONSUL TO AL-SUHAIMI MAJLIS

27^th September 2009

The United States Consul General, Mr. Joseph Kenny, visited the al-Suhaimi family majlis in Dammam’s al-Faisaliya neighborhood on 27th September’09. Mr. Kenny was accompanied by Mr. Bijan Kian, board member of the Export/Import Bank; Consul Kevin Kreutner; Economic Officer Tom Rooker; Public Affairs Officer Cynthia Cook; Vice Consul Valerie; Administrative Attach William; an aide to Mr. Kian; and Mr. Ibrahim Mohammad Nur. The Consul General and his party were greeted on arrival by Sulaiman Alsuhaimi, Vice Chairman of the Suhaimi Group, Adel Alsuhaimi. In honor of the Consul General and of his accompanying delegation, all dined at Alsuhaimi residence. A number of their excellencies, businessmen and officials were also in attendance.

Dana Aldossary, Sameera Alqahtani & Amal Alkhesaifi of GSC Training & Certification Division represented GSC & NACE Saudi Section in Technical Exchange Meeting & Exhibit. The event was organized by the Materials Engineers & Corrosion Control Division at Saudi Aramco.

This exhibition offered a good opportunity to present NACE & ASM training programs conducted by GSC.  

THE VISIT OF GSC BANKERS

GSC bankers “Saudi Hollandi Bank ,Samba , Riyadh Bank and Alalamiya Insurance Company “ visited our branch in Jubail along with GSC’s Accounts & Finance Manager. The visit was organized by Baljit Chahal GSC’s Technical Manager.

The visitors went to GSC insulation division site, Garnet Arabia office & factory and Global IWI, AAC-EA project site. Also, they visited all our facilities under construction in Jubail Area.

Our accomplishments at these areas have impressed the bankers greatly as they have exceeded their expectations especially in the fields of insulation, plant works, safety and security.

Global Suhaimi Company has participated in the second Saudi job fair which was held at Dhahran International Exhibitions Center and supported by HRDF from 5th to 9th of April. The venue offered a valuable opportunity to introduce the different activities executed by the company. Furthermore, it presented the available job vacancies in various sectors commensurate with job seekers’ qualifications.

THE VISIT OF CUSTODIAN OF THE TWO HOLY MOSQUES TO EASTERN PROVINCE

With all the love and loyalty, eastern province has embraced the visit of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques - King Abdullah in which he launched a number of industrial and welfare projects worth SR54 billion in Jubail.

GSC BUSINESS MODEL IS THE FOCUS FOR GRADUATION PROJECT OF KFU ACCOUNTANCY FEMALE STUDENTS

In its continuous pursuit of supporting the training and education development for the local universities’ graduates, GSC hosted for the third time, five groups of Accounting Dept. at King Faisal University pre-graduates of the academic year of 1429/1430 H during March and April.

According to the attendees, The visits were beneficial as they have expanded their knowledge about the company’s activities in the fields of accounting, human resources and marketing.

THE ANNUAL GSC LADIES STAFF MEETING WITH THE PRESIDENT

GSC ladies staff from all Kingdom branches gathered for the annual meeting with GSC President, held at Company Head quarters in Dammam. 

A presentation about the GSC founders’ footsteps and its fields of business were given at 9:30 a.m. it was followed by a discussion, comments and suggestions for work improvement with the President. They further discussed obstacles that they face in their jobs.

At the conclusion of the meeting, lady staff members alone were invited to a working lunch at the Sunset Beach Resort, where they continued to exchange their experiences and opinions about work related issues.

The workshop comes in the framework of the national competition program, which aims to achieve a set of goals, such as promoting a culture of self – employment / independent work, supporting the establishment of small enterprises, creating of job opportunities with good financial returns, and supporting the national orientation of knowledge economy.

WORKSHOP ON CORROSION

Global Suhaimi sponsored the two-day international event entitled “Workshop towards Establishing a Center of Research Excellence in Corrosion” which was hosted by the Center for Research Excellence in Corrosion (CORE-C) at King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals. This workshop brought together corrosion specialists with leaders in materials and the participants had discussed whether corrosion abatement is adequately addressed in the Kingdom and what needs to be added to develop a comprehensive approach to solve the corrosion problems.

Nouf Alsadlan, Personal Affairs Assistant, Human Resources Dept. visited company branches in Jeddah and Yanbu to screen and interview candidates for job vacancies in the western province to recruit new ladies staff there.

NEW BRANCH IN UAE

Global Suhaimi extended its industrial maintenance activities, in a new branch in Fujairah. To cover the United Arab Emirates in the area of the fields of blasting, painting, fireproofing, fiberglass lining, abrasion and chemical resistant floor coatings, concrete repair as well as road and airport marking among other services and products.
