SIGNING A TRAINING AGREEMENT WITH SAUDI ARAMCO

The Audit & Systems Department in GSC signed an agreement for training
of Saudi Aramco staff and engineers in the fields of corrosion
prevention technologies in oil plants.

conducted a seminar for safety and security solutions at Saudi Aramco
security division. The chairman of Duos – Tech, Mr. Gianni Arcaini along
with his executives
presented Duos safety and security solutions. The
seminar introduced proven security systems comprising both hardware and
software for the protection of Industrial areas and facilities. |

Suhaimi Company had a business trip to Nepal 27th till 29th of July 2008
to recruit new staff / work force for GSC requirements in the Kingdom.

INTERVIEW WITH THE
PRESIDENT

Mr. Mishal Al-Anazi, a
journalist from Alyaum newspaper had an interview with the company
president Adel Alsuhaimi. The article focused on three issues; the
obstacles businessmen face with the current judicial procedure for
commercial issues, traffic terrorism & mysterious course of mining in
the kingdom.
Alsuhaimi indicated the negative impact of such issues if solutions were
not seriously implemented. Finally, he emphasized the need for stronger
support to Saudi investor, also referred to the importance of the
transparency in business following the lead of Custodian of the Two Holy
Mosques.

Global – IWI Arabia Co. Ltd.

IWI, Korean mechanical contracting company representatives visited GSC
H.O. Dammam during 5th to 8th July, 2008 to finalize the joint venture
company in Saudi Arabia for carrying out mechanical works. The new JV,
Global – IWI Arabia Co. registration with Saudi Arabian General
Investment Authority “SAGIA” was completed during 3rd week of July,
2008.

HRDF SEMINAR AT GSC

Since GSC's interest in developing staff efficiencies and abilities, an
HRDF Seminar was organized for accounts and human resources employees.
The lecture was conducted by Mr. Mohammed Al-Qahtani from "Human
Resources Development Fund" in the Head Office in Khaldiah - Dammam.

THE VISIT OF CUSTODIAN OF THE TWO HOLY MOSQUES TO EASTERN PROVINCE

With all
the love and loyalty, eastern province has embraced the visit of
Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques - King Abdullah in which he opened
Saudi Aramco’s 75th anniversary celebrations and launched twenty nine
industrial projects worth more than SR68 billion in Jubail.
He also
pledged full support to the educational sectors where he laid the
foundation stone for the university city and teaching hospital at King
Faisal University in Dammam. And eleven strategic &developmentally
projects at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals in Dhahran.

SABIC 3rd SAFETY, HEALTH & ENVIRONMENT (SHE) EXHIBITION

Eng. Mohammad Almadhi, Vice
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Saudi Basic Industries (SABIC).
SABIC group of Companies opened the exhibition in Jubail Industrial city
titled "Safety, Health & Environment - SHE". A number of companies
participated in the exhibition besides Global Suhaimi Company.
GSC booth was located at
the environmental services group, and presented the ISGR system designed
for discovering leakage of underground chemicals pipes.
At the closure of the
ceremony, Khalid Aldosari received the appreciation certificate for GSC
participation.

SAUDI / CANADIAN WORKSHOP " INVESTMENT ATTRACTION IN OIL & GAS"

On
behalf of Global Suhaimi, Khalid Al-Dossary represented the company in a
workshop at the Chamber of Commerce on: "Investment Attraction in Oil &
Gas".
The
Canadian delegate presented their investments opportunities in Alberta
province where an extract & refinery plant is. This workshop was
attended by a number of Saudi companies looking for Canadian Investment
opportunities.

THE THIRD ARAB FORUM FOR MERIT

Dr.
Abdullah bin Saleh Alobaid, minister of education, inaugurated the Third
Arab Forum for Merit under the title of (Build Future Leaders ..
Applications of the Concept of Merit). Eng. Yousef Al-Bloushi, Audit &
Systems Manager, and Mohammed Al-kahlan had represented GSC in this
forum which was held at the Holiday Inn Hotel in Al-Khobar.
Interested parties in educational and academic fields have participated
in the forum that took three days along with a number of experts,
intellectuals and researchers. Five workshops, six discussion sessions
and a number of researches and studies concerning the modern concepts of
''Leadership'' were discussed for the sake of there application in Arab
world.
A large
number of government institutions and private agents involved in the
development of human resources had participated in the forum.

AINDAR GOSP#3 VISIT

Eng.
Yousef Al-Bloushi & Khalid Al-Dossary represented Global Suhaimi in
Aramco GOSP#3 "Aindar Plant". The purpose of the visit was to
demonstrate the efficiency of the CC100 on one of cold gas pipes. Since
GSC has a contract to apply CC100 at another Aramco plant. Engineers at
Aramco attended in preparation for possible future orders. |

THE ANNUAL REUNION OF KFUPM 1974 GRADUATES

On
Thursday, 3rd April 2008 Global Suhaimi sponsored the annual reunion of
KFUPM 1974 graduates which took place in the Palm Beach Resorts – Half
Moon Bay.
More
than 85 graduates attended coming from as for as Madinah, Jeddah and
other regions of Kingdom.
Discussions continued at dinner while Memorial photographs were taken
and souvenirs (GSC gift items) were distributed to all guests.

POWER & WATER UTILITY CO. FOR JUBAIL & YANBU (Marafiq):

GSC president signed a contract with Power & Water Utility Co.
for Jubail (Marafiq), represented by his Excellency Mr. Abdulrahman Bin
S. Aba Hussain Vice President, Finance.
The Agreement was for over SR 20,000,000 to provide Painting &
Protective Coating work at Marafiq’s facilities in Jubail Industrial
city. It will cover a
three years period starting from April 2008.

THE 12th MIDDLE EAST CORROSION CONFERENCE AND EXHIBITION IN BAHRAIN

GSC participated in the 12th Middle East Corrosion Conference
and Exhibition under the patronage of Mr. Fahmi Bin Ali Al Jowder,
Minister of Works, and Minister incharge of Electricity & Water
Authority in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
This Conference was organized by the Bahrain Society of
Engineers in association with NACE Saudi Section International, at the
Gulf International Convention Center, Gulf Hotel, Bahrain.
It combined the latest developments in the field of corrosion
protection and control and it represented the ideal channel through
which sciences; knowledge and expertise are exchanged among engineers,
professionals, academics, manufactures and users in the region and world
wide. Major companies and organizations played substantial role in the
success of this event.
The most parallel sessions which were featured in the conference
included: cathodic protection, chemical protection, inspection and
corrosion control, corrosion researches and imaginative forms, materials
and welding, non-metal materials, protective coating, hydrotherapy
treatment and chemical cleaning.
The event include
Presentation for more than 50 participating companies products, GSC was
one of them where its services were represented by Eng. Yousef Al-Bloushi
and Ms. Dana Al-Dossary, particularly the NACE courses whom also
distributed NACE education magazine, GSC definition brochures and some
gift items.
Accompanied Conference awards ceremony, GSC was presented as the third
best exhibitor where Eng. Yousef Al-Bloushi received the shield.

Water leakage from Water Intake Concrete Structures

SPD branch has successfully completed a vital project of
arresting Water Leakage from Water Intake Concrete Structures at Shoaiba
IWPP Desalination Plant for SWCC. (OFFSHORE CIVIL WORKS).
Our responsibility was to carry out Sea Water leakage sealing
at sea water intake pump station (concrete structure chamber 1 to 10)
which included retaining wall, wing wall & floor area.
GSC is considered an expert in concrete repair works domain
for on-shore or off-shore throughout the kingdom and Gulf.

THE ANNUAL GSC LADIES STAFF MEETING WITH THE PRESIDENT

GSC ladies staff from branches in Dammam, Jubail, Jeddah
and Yanbu attended the annual meeting with the president which was held
at Company Head Office in Dammam.
A presentation about the GSC founders’ footsteps and its
international business commitments was started at 9:00 a.m. After that,
a detailed discussion followed in which ladies staff exchanged their
comments and suggestions for work improvement with the president. They
further discussed the obstacles that they faced in their career.
At the conclusion of the meeting, staff members were
invited to a working lunch at the Sunset beach resort, Al Khobar where
they continued to exchange their experiences and opinions.

REGISTRAR OFFICE COMPETITION AWARD CEREMONY

Prince Naief center at King Fahd University of Petroleum &
Minerals has witnessed the celebration of the
8th
registrar office competition award which was under the auspices of
Global Suhaimi Company. The event was attended by Dr. Abdul-Aziz
Alswayan (Vice Rector for Academic Affairs) at KFUPM and Mr. Mohammed
Alkahlan representing Global Suhaimi.
Global Suhaimi has
awarded the first winner Abdulrazzak Jaber Alja'afer with a prize of
4500 SR, 3500 SR for the second Faisal Bin Radwan Qalaji & 2500 SR for
the third Abdullah Sobaih Alajmi. Furthermore, the company has announced
its sponsorship for the 9th competitions as well as the grand prize of a
car at the end of the academic year.

Audit & Systems Manager attended the Intersec 2008 Exhibition in Dubai
which is considered to be one of the leading trade fairs of its kind in
the Middle East.
It is a unique
combination of four distinct areas Commercial Security, Police &
Homeland Security, Fire & Rescue and Safety & Health, which facilitates
matching the right product and the right supplier.
This exhibition
includes a large number of international groups such as: Austria,
France, Germany, Italy, the UK, Korea, China, Singapore, Scandinavia,
Taiwan, USA and Hong Kong as well as more than 130 companies from the
Middle East & more than 700 exhibitors from over 50 international
countries.

PROTECTIVE COATING FOR 10 TANKS AT ARAB TK TERMINAL, YANBU

Yanbu branch has successfully completed Blasting & Painting of 10 Huge
Aluminum dome roof Carbon Steel tanks of diameter ranging from 24M to
56M for White Kerosene Oil, at Arab Tank Facilities . These tanks were
handed over to us after the completion of hydro test.
Our
responsibility was to carry out external & internal abrasive blasting
and multiple layers protective coating for approximately 60,000M2. And
in accordance with the end user requirement, the task was completed
within the time frame of 10 to 11 weeks, to their utmost satisfaction.
It is certainly one of the prestigious projects for GSC. |
