Official Opening Ceremony of Garnet Arabia
Facilities:

|
Garnet Arabia Company (a joint venture between GMA of
Australia and Global Suhaimi Company) Jubail facilities were officially
inaugurated on 18th December, 2006 by H.E. Mr. Abdullah Al
Musfer, Deputy Governor of Jubail City along with H.E. Mr. Ian Biggs,
The Ambassador of Australia and Mr. Khalid A. R. Al Suhaimi, Chairman of
Global Suhaimi. Many Honorable Guests from Saudi Aramco higher
management and other local clients attended the function. |

Visits Garnet Arabia Facilities:

Dr. Mansour O. Nazer, V.P.-Planning & Business development
accompanied by Mr. Konstantinos A. Salonikis, Director – Corporate
Exploration and Mr. Ali Al Amri, Geologist visited GAC facilities at
Jubail on 13th December 2006 to assess Ma’aden joining the
business venture with GAC for Garnet Mining in the Kingdom of Saudi
Arabia. |

King Fahd
University of Petroleum & Minerals 5th Registrar Office Competition:
December
2006

Prince Naief Centre at
King Fahad University for Petroleum and Minerals has witnessed the
celebration on Tuesday, the 21st of Dhu Al-Qadah 1427, 12th
December, 2006, to award prizes to winners in the Rector Office Fifth
Competition which was sponsored by Global Suhaimi.
Global Suhaimi, the
official sponsor, has donated two trips to Germany free of charge for
two students which covered air tickets, accommodation, living and
transportation costs to attend the (CEBIT).
Mr. Abdul Aziz Al
Suwayyam presented a shield to Mr. Yousuf Al-Bloushi, System and Audit
Manager of Global Suhaimi in appreciation of Global Suhaimi continued
support of the Competition.
Global Suhaimi has
participated in the Third and the Fourth Competition with aiming to
encourage students in their pursuit of for knowledge & education.
Moreover, Global
Suhaimi provided the Grand prize for the Six Competition. Which is a
Toyota Yaris car.

Global Suhaimi Oracle Upgrade:

Global Suhaimi is currently in the process of upgrading its
applications from Oracle 6i to Oracle 10g. Oracle Database has already
been successfully upgraded from 8i to 10g. |

8th International Concrete Conference:
November 2006
|
|
Global Suhaimi participated and exhibited its experience
and services in Concrete Rehabilitation in 8th International
Concrete Conference in Bahrain on 27 -29 of November 2006. |

King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals 4th Registrar
Office Competition:
September
2006
|
|
On
13th
September 2006, King Fahd
University celebrated the
awards of the fourth registrar office competition sponsored by
Global Suhaimi and organized at the beginning of each semester.
This event was attended by Dr. Abdullaziz Alswyyan (Vice Rector
for Academic Affairs) at KFUPM and Eng. Yousef Albloushi (Audit
& System Manager) who represented Global Suhaimi Company.
Global Suhaimi
provided the first five winners with Air travel tickets to Dubai as well as accommodation at a 5-star hotel
to attend the famous GITEX exhibition that will be held on 18-22
November 2006. Further more, the company announced that it will
sponsor the fifth and sixth competition and it will provide the
past 5th and 6th winners of competition with a car and two
tickets to Germany. |

NACE CORROSION INSPECTOR PROGRAM (I&II) SESSIONS:
August 2006:

In pursuit of Global Suhaimi’s
continuous Quality Inspectors training, certification, and
approval from reputable International Organizations in the field
of coatings and corrosion, the company approached and
commissioned two professional sessions this August ‘06. NACE
International (Coating Inspection Specialists) has conducted 2
full courses in coating inspection programs (CIP level I) and
(CIP level II).
Global Suhaimi Clients and
Suppliers Staff were invited to take advantage of participating
in these professional quality assurance & inspection courses
held rarely inside the Kingdom.

ORACLE PLATFORM USE & MAINTENANCE TRAINING SESSIONS:
July + August 2006
|
|
Due
to the company’s increased system requirements for flexible data
and accessibility kingdom wide it was necessary to upgrade the
Oracle based platform from 8i version to the latest 10g. Global
Suhaimi arranged and conducted comprehensive Training on “Use &
Maintenance of Oracle 10g”. A Contract was signed with “Bahrain
Institute of Technology” for training and lectures for 10
employees including 8 Saudi ladies. Training lasted
for three months; with 5 exams controlled by
Oracle University at
Bahrain
I of .T. Company provided a well equipped training laboratory
with latest computers, displays, and network facilities for
every student.

VISIT TO MAADEN
June 2006: |
|
A three-party
Meeting was held at Saudi Arabian Mining Corporation (Ma’aden)
on June 24th, 2006 between Ma’aden, GMA of Australia
and Global Suhaimi. It was chaired by Ma’aden and attended by
Torsten Ketelsen, Managing Director of GMA and Adel Al Suhaimi,
President of Global Suhaimi, to discuss potential business
opportunities in the evolving mining sector.
A short courtesy
visit followed to His Excellency Mr. Ali Al Nuaimi Minister of
Oil and Natural Resources of Saudi Arabia. |

British Steel Ramco
(BSR)
April 2006:
Earlier in April, Global Suhaimi
President accompanied by chairman traveled to Britan to inspect
and negotiate with British Steel Ramco (BSR) - a British
Corporation in Hartlepool, England. He also negotiated with
Korean, Malaysian and Chinese companies, to choose the most
suitable technical partner, to construct a plant for pipes
coating with FBE, cement lining, powder & other coating
materials. Estimated capacity 10,000 km length for pipes
internal and external per annum in Dammam to meet huge projects
demand. Saudi Aramco Company under took to execute thousands of
pipe lines across the kingdom in its ambitious plan, to increase
its production out put of both oil and gas for 2005-2010.
April 2006 witnessed several visits from
international corporations' representatives for discussion and
cooperation in local market. KENCANA PETROLEUM, a Malaysian corporation,
one of the biggest companies in East Asia, in construction, installation
and maintenance of oil refineries onshore & offshore areas. KENCANA
Executive Manager visited GSC Head Office, and agreed to form a Saudi
joint venture with GSC (Capital SR. 25,000,000) with Head Office in
Jubail to cover huge requirements expected from Oil giants in Kingdom
and Gulf regions.

GARNET ARABIA
March 2006:
March 2006, Global
Suhaimi has finished constructing and operating Garnet Arabia
Company Bulk Plant in Jubail (Production capacity 50,000 tonne/year,
expandable). Garnet. An adjacent plant for reprocessing and
recycling Garnet in order to save environment and reduce cost of
using this rare mineral was completed and operated Employment
prospects.
